LEROY PETERS & THE BAND
Leroy Peters was born in St. Lucia in 1977 the year that Exodus the
album was released. Soon after his birth Leroy also made the journey
to England arriving in the north east where he has lived among us ever
since. He has been musical all of his life even breakdancing before
he could walk, and through school and college he studied music and performing
arts, always with a mind to being an entertainer in some way. His band
The Fuzz gained notoriety around the turn of the century culminating
in extensive UK touring and a record deal in 2003 with Sanity Recordings
an arm of Sanity Multimedia. It was through this deal that the idea
of this show was first planned and although the record deal failed to
move The Fuzz into a broader arena of public consciousness, it did lead
to the formation of Totally Tropical a band which has played over 500
gigs in the last three years including prestigious gigs at Piccadilly
Circus in London and as far a field as Israel.
The band line up is like a whos who of north east professional musicians including brass and three female backing singers to keep the sound as authentic as possible.
